此课程之目标 Class Objectives

中文二零二之目标在于 (1) 引导学生增加其认字能力及说话能力(2)以要求短篇故事作业训练学生之书写能力 (3) 学习中国春节及其相关之文化,精髓,及民间风俗。

 

Chinese 202 aims to reach the following objectives:

1. Increase student’s vocabulary pool and their speaking ability

2. Strengthen student’s writing ability through writing short-story assignment

3. Enhance student’s appreciation of Chinese cultures through observing and participating in Chinese New Year celebration.

 

学生成绩审核要项 Grading system:总分一千一百分Total 1100

1.出席率与课堂表现 150 Attendance and classroom performance: Always come prepared with all assigned homework, written and reading

2.小考 300 Quizzes: 3 quizzes will be given in this term

3.文化学习 Cultural exploration 150: Coordinate, research, and participate a selected public Chinese New Year event or at an informant’s home followed by an oral presentation (in English).

4.短篇故事Short story term project 200: To finish a 500-character short story this term by submitting a 100-character paragraph every other week using required vocabulary and patterns. Corrected copy for each paragraph is always due in the next class.

5.期末口试 150 Oral final: Read your short story printed in characters on the last day of class.

6.期末考 150 Written final: lessons 4, 5, 6 on Monday March 13, 2006 1:15-3:05 p.m.
